Join us for an interactive and guided tour to explore the many cultural and historical treasures that abound in this 1890, one of a kind,original, Company Store.
Discover little known facts about this historical icon Unravel the question, why the hidden safe? Where is the secret second floor? Operate the original hand operated freight elevator. Send a postcard from the Whipple post office. Discover the curiosities surrounding the 3rd floor ballroom. Explore the dark corners of the basement. Walk in the footsteps of the coal miners.
Hear the stories, legends, and lore that make the West Virginia coal mining era a legacy not to be forgotten. This very unique architectural structure sold everything from candy to caskets, and was the center of the coal camp life.
